Flame (and Frost) On!

The Guild Wars 2 "Living Story" is coming to an end. We decided to do our part to help Braham and Rox unravel the mystery and stop the molten collaborative from doing whatever burny things they are doing. venturing into the depths with pickaxes in hand, we successfully got all the way to the final bosses, but, despite some reeeeeally close moments, we could not pull off a victory.

Finally, we had to be adults and call it a night, with Deacon tapping out first. On a whim, Nightxade decided to go on a  suicide mission to solo the bosses herself. Turns out that draw-in has a wide range. Not ones to turn down the challenge, Nizzo, Digitaltempest and Butter Rum gave it their all anyway and -- well the stars must have been aligned right or something because KUH-BAM! Oh the sweet smell of smoldering victory!

Too bad Deacon missed out.

Flame & Frost

Rytlock and Eir were being their usual worthless selves, so Deacon and Nightxade took it upon themselves to help out newcomers Rox and Braham with their investigations and rescues. We also made the shocking discovery that Eir might have had jungle fever.

Together again

Deacon tricked Nightxade into not only firing up Star Wars: The Old Republic again, but he somehow managed to convince her to start alllll over. He's lucky she was able to make a Twi'lek Imperial Agent this time (with no help from the idiots in general chat).

Guild Missions suck!

Four of us attempted Guild Mission Training for the first time and, after two attempts where we once found our target with only a minute left on the clock, and once failed to find our target at all, we determined that Guild Missions are a huge waste of time and influence for a casual Guild like ours. So we decided instead to take out our frustrations on each other in Keg Brawl. Flying kicks all around!

Super Happy Fun Adventure Time Ball Box Time!

We were supposed to check out Guild Missions but got swept away with other adventures thanks to Moto and his new Super Adventure Box! We traded in our tokens and sat down with the princess, only to have her stolen away by the evil bad guy! Anita Sarkeesian is going to be so mad!

What did we do first with our pointy sticks? Why we killed innocent bunnies of course! We bounced our way through the pixel place and eventually succeeded in defeating world one. I am pretty sure none of us expected this damn dungeon to be so damn hard. Somewhere along the way, Deacon wondered how we'd ever achieved such victories decades ago

We didn't get far into World 2, with Nightxade tapping out first, and the others succumbing to the wrath of raft ninjas and crocodiles.

But we weren't done yet! Nightxade told Digitaltempest about a handsome new norn in town so of course we had to check him out. Unfortunately, Rytlocke wanted to see us first...

Ding Dong the Undead Elder Dragon is Dead!

All of our hard work finally came together in typical epic fashion as we worked together with Destiny's Edge to defeat Zhaitan!

Sadly, despite teasing us otherwise, Logan did not die.

Crucible of Eternity

FU and your balls!
We picked up a new member, Slayer of Nightmare, who joined us for multiple deaths to confusion and lightning balls and Kudu's re-enactment of Mass Effect 2 (he even made husks!).

Rytlocke and Logan played the role of cutest couple ever and we all managed to convince Zojja to stop being an asshole.

Looks like it's time to beat on some dragons! Arah next week!

Citadel of Flames

Down a member, we nonetheless blazed a path through Fireheart Rise, setting fire to the flames of the flaming Flame Legion as we passed. We arrived at the gates of the Citadel of Flames, only to find them locked. So we helped some ungrateful Charr defeat more Flamers and finally headed inside to find out what was up with Logan and Rytlocke.

Unsurprisingly, the former bandmates were busy trying to kill each other. Despite our hopes that they would, they ended up joining us on our adventure to stop some Charr from ascending to godhood.

A challenging, but enjoyable run, save for the really crappy chest haul. But the real reward was getting Rytlocke and Logan to finally get together again. May this ship sail ever onwards!

Honor of the Waves

Eir is upset and suicidal. We must save her from herself! After a short slaughter of Sons of Svanir to get to the dungeon, we hopped in and slaughtered some more. We are pleased to report that Eir learned her Sesame Street lesson and is no longer whining and plans to kill dragons with us.

Also, Digitaltempest finally got to be a kodan and then we re-enacted scenes from Deep Blue Sea.

Represent!

Deacon and Nightxade worked on their attempt at 100%ing the world map. They took to Devona's Rest Borderlands, died very few times, and killed a few invaders. We also managed to capture a location and claim it in the mighty name of Glitterbomb. Let the chickens and spiders that live near this outpost forever praise the sparkling snail emblem of glory.

Sorrow's Embrace

Deacon, Butter Rum and Nightxade trekked through Dredge in Sorrow's Embrace to help Zojja do.. something. Along the way, Caithe whine, Eir flounced and we noticed some peculiar coincidences:

  1. Deacon does not die nearly as often when Digitaltempest is not around.
  2. We do not end up with assholes on the team when Digitaltempest is not around.
Otherwise, a rather pleasant run, if "pleasant" can be used to describe dungeons. We did not suffer from ridiculous death and did not spend too much money on Priory repairs. This may or may not be a trap to lure us into a trying Explore Mode...

All the toys!

The Guild celebrated Wintersday with allll the toys and, as is customary, some nudity.

After ditching a Guardian who complained about our lack of numbers and our ability to beat a bunch of prissy princesses, we discovered once again that our true power is teamwork, listening to digitaltempest, and not inviting assholes to party with us.

We got this

Missing a member, we decided to shout and got a nice person to join us for a second attempt at. Our new friend abadonned us when our lack of 80ness failed to impress him. That's okay. We can rescue Jennah without you!

We may have jinxed ourselves a few times, but we're convinced that the dungeon was much better this time. Still full of death, but... not quite as much. We once again completed it with just four and thankfully, we actually got to complete it thanks to the bug fix.

And this time we remembered to let Zojja help, too.

For fashion!

Nightxade decided she wanted new clothes for her Elementalist, and headed off to Fireheart Rise to complete the necessary hearts. Unfortunately, at only level 55+, she was too low to make it to the far corner for her boots, so she requested the aid of Digitaltempest, warning her that it would mean a lot of aggro and possible doom. Challenge accepted. Joined by Deacon Twoblades, they headed off to take on the Flame Legion, achieving their ultimate goal. Too bad the boots are ugly.

Lost Shores Event Weekend

ArenaNet introduced the first of their one-time events, The Lost Shores. We hopped over to the Southsun Cove, where the Consortium had stirred up the local wildlife for us to slaughter.

After much death and Digitaltempest leaving to find new and awesome friends to build bridges with, we ended up with some sweet loot and a great sense of accomplishment. We're so happy we could clear the beaches of Southsun to allow the tourists to come hang out.

Twilight Arbor SM

Surprisingly not as bad as the other dungeons, once we got past the Logan/Rytlocke drama.

Unfortunately, the relative ease of the dungeon lured Nizzo and Nightxade into a false sense of security, prompting them to try EM the next night with a pick up group.

Four hours later.....

Caudecus's Manor

It's okay Jennah, you can come out now.

Despite Digitaltempest's complaints and despite the lack of a fifth party member, we decided to recue Queen Jennah from certain doom at the hands of the evil Separatists. We initially had the expected trouble and a lot of the usual death and Priory Repair Scams, but every time we got too frustrated to try but once more, we managed to get it right and pull through -- with no thanks to Zojja or Logan, we should add.

Unfortunately, even though we beat all the odds to come out on top, the game bugged at the very end and we ended up with an incomplete dungeon.

The Mad King!

Act 2 of Shadow of the Mad King is here, so we explored the new dungeon. In the dark. There was a lot of giggling. A lot of flailing. And a lot of falling. A LOT of falling.

After that, we visited one of the many portals that appeared around Tyria and fought off angry candy corn and other monsters.

Ascalonian Catacombs

Our very first dungeon! There was much death and destruction and we donated a lot of funds to the Priory armour repair scam.

In the end, we were victorious in pissing off a lot of ghosts and helping Eir in her questionable task of obtaining a sword to help Loganand Rytlock be friends again. Also, thre was naked dancing. Of course.
